Democrats have spoken out about the recent crackdown on “Doge Boys” and federal spending, and are holding rallies outside the Social Security Agency (SSA), the next goal of the newly formed cost-cutting sector.
Elon Musk-led Government Efficiency (DOGE) is working with federal agencies to identify and reduce wasteful spending. Recently, the group began investigating the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for potential fraud. This is a move that was not welcomed by Democrats who warned that the SSA could become the next agent on their target list.

Many of Doge's goals ranged from cancelling diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in federal agencies to integrating duplicate agencies and programs.
