Donald Trump as the Pope? The White House Releases an AI-Created Image of the President Dressed as a Pope

A few days after expressing interest in becoming Pope, US President Donald Trump shared a manipulated image of himself dressed as a Pope over the weekend. This image, which was also posted by the White House on X, featured Trump seated in a coral-colored chair.

The reaction on social media was mixed. While some found the post amusing, others expressed disappointment, perceiving it as disrespectful, especially in light of Pope Francis’s recent passing. One user remarked, “So, when Trump does it, is that okay?” Another defended Trump, saying, “Only those who worship the Pope are offended. It’s just another outfit.”

Critics labeled Trump’s actions as childish, arguing that a president shouldn’t post such images shortly after a significant event like the Pope’s death, claiming it showed arrogance and immaturity.

Just a week after attending Pope Francis’s funeral, Trump stated he would like to be the next leader of the Catholic Church, saying, “I want to be the Pope. That’s my number one option.” South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham expressed excitement about this idea, suggesting it could be a unique opportunity worth considering.

Pope Francis, who passed away at 88, resided in Casa Santa Marta and the new Pope is slated to be elected soon during the upcoming Conclave, with responsibilities commencing immediately.
