Donald Trump Regrets Not Winning Nobel Peace Prize: 'Resolved 8 Conflicts'

Trump Remarks on Nobel Peace Prize Snub

President Donald Trump expressed his disappointment over not receiving the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, claiming he has “settled 8 wars” and is working to resolve two more.

In a post on Truth Social, he emphasized the achievements of his administration, such as securing the return of “all of the Israeli hostages” and bringing down Venezuela’s “violent dictator.” His comments followed the announcement that Navanethem “Navi” Pillay, a South African judge and former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Trump stated, “I settled 8 WARS, am close to ending or settling 2 more, got all of the Israeli hostages back, including the final 28, both living and dead, had hundreds of hostages from countries all over the World, released and sent back home, won a war in Venezuela, and captured the violent dictator who so viciously ran that country, and stopped the number one state sponsor of terror, the Islamic Republic of Iran, from obtaining a Nuclear Weapon — AND MUCH MORE! Yet, with all of that, I, or the United States of America, did not get the Nobel Peace Prize. WOW!”

According to Breitbart News, John Hayward reported that some have criticized the decision to award Pillay, suggesting it was politically motivated:

Critics condemned the award as a political maneuver designed to “send a message” to President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, noting that Pillay has accused Israel of “genocide” in Gaza without addressing the attacks on October 7 or condemning Hamas.

If the Nobel committee intended to provoke Israelis by honoring a “Gaza genocide” activist immediately after the anniversary of the 10/7 attack, they succeeded.

In response, the Israeli Foreign Ministry remarked, “If there were an award for lies, hatred, and blood libels, Navi Pillay wouldn’t just be a contender; she would be a frontrunner.”

Pillay, who also holds a position as an ad hoc judge at the International Court of Justice, faced further criticism from Netanyahu’s office, which stated, “Navi Pillay’s proudest achievement was to legitimize a corrupt prosecutor who turned to her fabrications against Israel, hoping that by joining her bigoted lynch mob, he would beat a rape charge.”

Breitbart News reported that María Corina Machado, a 2025 Nobel Peace Prize laureate, dedicated her award not only to the Venezuelan populace but also to Trump. She stated, “We are on the threshold of victory and today, more than ever, we count on President Trump, the people of the United States, the peoples of Latin America, and the democratic nations of the world.”

She added, “I dedicate this prize to the suffering people of Venezuela and to President Trump for his decisive support of our cause!”
