A DoorDash driver from upstate New York, who alleged she was sexually harassed, found herself in legal trouble after posting a video of a drunken, naked customer on TikTok. Olivia Henderson, 23, appeared in Oswego City Court on Thursday facing felony charges related to the incident.
The charges stem from a video she recorded while delivering food, which showed a half-naked individual slumped on a couch, clearly visible from the front door. Henderson had initially reported the situation to the police, claiming harassment, but law enforcement later determined that the individual had simply passed out at home.
In one TikTok video about the October 12 occurrence, she described the scene: “My customers asked me to leave their order at the door, and when I got there, the door was wide open, and they were lying on the couch, exposing themselves.” This video garnered nearly 30 million views before it was taken down.
Following the incident, Henderson claimed that DoorDash had wrongfully deactivated her account. However, DoorDash clarified that it had to act due to her sharing such personal footage of a customer. The company emphasized that posting videos of customers’ homes and revealing their personal details violated their policies.
Currently, Henderson faces two felonies: second-degree unlawful surveillance and first-degree unlawful distribution of surveillance images. During her court appearance, her attorney waived reading the indictment and entered a not guilty plea.
The judge ordered her release without bail, following an agreement with prosecutors. As she exited the courthouse, her father shielded her face from reporters with his jacket while they hurried to their car.
If found guilty, Henderson could face up to eight years in prison. She is expected back in court in January.
