This story is the fourth in a series of candid conversations that Dr. Jordan Peterson had with Fox News Digital. Part one, on pride, was: herethe second installment of his mandated sensitivity training is now available here, And the third reason why the elites are so hostile towards Trump is here.
Dr. Jordan Peterson says his new online university, the Peterson Academy, will help people get the real education they want at today’s “crazy” or “hopeless” universities, but at a much more affordable price.
The world-renowned Canadian psychologist and author told Fox News Digital that his new online school, which opens at the end of June, will allow online students to be taught by “the best teachers in the world” without worrying about being intimidated by a political agenda.
“It’s just going to be people who want to be educated, and want to be educated in a way that’s not politically correct,” Peterson told Fox News Digital.

He is an intellectual and former professor at the University of Toronto. Peterson Academy“Well, this is a university in the sense that we have some of the best university professors in the world, and I have the privilege of being able to invite those people, make them good offers, get them enthusiastic to participate, and then teach them exactly what I want to teach, the way I want to teach it.”
He added, “We’re bringing them into our studio in Miami or going to their home countries to film, and we think we’re producing some of the best courses ever filmed, not just in terms of academic content but in terms of production quality.”
When asked about the course he’s most excited to offer at the Peterson Academy, he cited the first half of German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche’s “Beyond Good and Evil.” “I really enjoyed it,” he said, “and it’s a great book. I’d love to do the second half of the course. I’m just having fun working my way through it.”
“I also took a class on the Sermon on the Mount, which I really enjoyed, and then I took a few classes on different psychologists. I also took one on Piaget,” Peterson said.
Of course, since the school is an “online university,” the psychologist noted the importance of the social media network that has been built to support the student community at Peterson Academy.
“So we’re building a social media network on our platform that we hope will be the best social media network, and for a variety of reasons, we believe we’ve taken the best features of the social media networks that exist today,” he said.
“And we want to expose young people to other young people who have ambitious, positive goals and want to get an education, and that’s what will happen.”
Peterson emphasized multiple times in the interview that the Peterson Academy offers courses that are free from political correctness and woke themes, but he also clarified that the academy is not “anti-woke.”
“This is not a political enterprise. It’s an educational enterprise. That’s why it is essentially a university, a real university. We’ll see if it works very quickly because the public is hungry for it,” he said.
Dr. Jordan Peterson: Far-left extremists are ‘incredibly good at manipulating guilt’

Peterson said the new online academy would be an alternative to traditional universities that he said have “gone mad” because of left-wing ideology. (Peter Gerber)
In a candid interview, the renowned thinker shared his views on traditional Western universities.
“I think universities have gone so crazy that they’re beyond saving,” Peterson told Fox News Digital, alluding to the fact that many American universities, particularly in the Ivy League, have succumbed to far-left ideology.
Another selling point for Peterson Academy is its price compared to traditional universities.
“We’d like to bring the cost of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent down by about 95 percent, and we think we can do that,” he said, before speculating: “Our goal right now is about $500 a year, but that could change in the next month because the economic math is difficult.”
Peterson added that the $500 price is more realistic than free tuition because it adds a bit of important exclusivity to the program.
“People think free is a good price, but free is a ridiculous price,” he said. “The reason free is a ridiculous price is because it’s abused by psychopaths. So, Twitter is 80% bots And Instagram and Facebook are flooded with incredibly low-quality, manipulative content… because when there’s zero cost to join, there’s nothing to keep out scammers and parasites.”
He acknowledged that Peterson Academy is not yet accredited but is “working” toward that goal.
Anti-Semitic riots at Columbia University reach boiling point as agitators occupy university buildings and block the doors.

But he said it wouldn’t be a disaster if his school didn’t receive accreditation.
“We believe we can bypass formal accreditation bodies because if you get a one- or two- or three- or four-year certificate from, say, Peterson Academy, you’re guaranteed knowledge because we don’t inflate grades or give certificates within a particular course,” Peterson said.
“That way, people who have done, say, a one-year course or a four-year course can provide assurance to potential employers that they have done that course,” he added, “they learned the material, they mastered the material and they were able to do it on their own initiative.”
