A man in Los Angeles was filmed making a heroic effort to prevent another man from jumping off a freeway overpass.
Reports indicate that over a dozen police officers responded to a call about a possible suicide attempt near Highway 10 and Santa Anita Boulevard in El Monte. The post from the local law enforcement agency noted that the individual was an adult Hispanic male with injuries to his neck and wrist.
When officers arrived, they collaborated with medical personnel, the California Highway Patrol, and the El Monte Police Department, successfully bringing the man down from the overpass to safety.
Video footage captured the tense moments as the man hung from the overpass, with law enforcement officials securing him with straps and lifting him to safety.
Additionally, a psychiatric evaluation team was summoned to assist the man following the incident.
