Ella Langley’s Emotional Acceptance at the ACM Awards
Country music artist Ella Langley expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Jesus during her emotional speech at the 2026 American Country Music Awards on Sunday.
Langley took home an award in one of five categories, dedicating her win to Jesus and God while on stage. “Thank you, God, for putting me in the room with these three people,” she remarked as she accepted one of the prestigious awards. Overwhelmed with emotion, she returned to the stage to highlight the support she received from fellow musicians Laney Wilson, Miranda Lambert, and Kelsea Ballerini.
“I want to say something, but I can’t,” she began, seemingly struggling to find the right words. “Today was a strange day for me. I wasn’t quite sure what the award was for. I just went to Laney’s room and got really emotional, and she hugged me, wrapping me up and praying for me.”
Langley went on to share a touching moment when she mentioned Miranda Lambert appearing with a little pink hat. She acknowledged that without the encouragement from so many women in the industry, she might not be where she is today. “Kelsey, thank you for loving me,” she added.
In a moment of gratitude, she also expressed deep appreciation for her family, who have stood by her throughout her career. “Thank you, Jesus, for allowing me to do this for a living,” Langley said, her voice wavering with emotion.
Ella Langley has often stated that her faith plays a crucial role in her life and career. She has described herself as a lifelong Christian, revealing in an Instagram post from April that her connection with God deepened when she began to truly have faith. “I started to see the days we get as gifts rather than chores,” she wrote.
Langley has collected seven awards across five categories, including Female Artist of the Year and Artist/Songwriter of the Year. On that festive evening, she was also recognized for her Song of the Year and Single of the Year for “Choosin’ Texas” and “Don’t Mind if I Do,” a duet with Riley Greene. The event was hosted by renowned country star Shania Twain.
