Elliot Page and Julia Shipplett are making headlines as they share glimpses of their new romance.
The “X-Men” actor posted a delightful selfie with Shipplett, known for her role in “overcompensation,” on Instagram. He didn’t dive into details about their relationship, but the post featured a rainbow emoji and a double heart emoji, adding a sweet touch.
In the image, Page and Shipplett, who portrays Mimi in a Prime Video series, are seen smiling together on a colorful paved road.
Shipplett, 38, also shared a story featuring a shirtless Page enjoying a relaxing moment in a hot spring, captioning it with “Happy Priday.”
Page, also 38, has kept his personal life relatively private since coming out as a trans man in 2020. Yet, in a June 2023 conversation with the Los Angeles Times, he expressed enjoying dating, saying, “I feel that interacting with people is much easier and more connected.” It seems he’s found some joy in this new chapter of his life.
This new relationship marks the first time Page has shared a romance publicly since coming out. He previously married Emma Portner from 2018 to 2021.
In his memoir, “Pageboy,” he mentioned a hidden relationship with an actress referred to as “Ryan.” Interestingly, he noted that even close friends weren’t aware of this romance, as it took place mostly out of the public eye.
Page described this earlier relationship as “sustainable,” explaining how challenges led to their breakup. “People didn’t think she was odd,” he reflected, “but they definitely thought I was.” Ultimately, he acknowledged that it was best for her to move on, even though it left him heartbroken.
In the past, Page has also been linked to actress Kate Mara and co-star Olivia Surbee, which adds more layers to his dating history.
