News of Musk’s rapidly growing family comes as he faces accusations of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior from several female subordinates at his space exploration company, SpaceX.

Justine Wilson – Mother of Griffin, Vivian, Kai, Saxon, Damien and Nevada
Musk and his first wife, Justine Wilson, had a son named Nevada in 2002, but he died at just 10 weeks old, and then had twins named Griffin and Vivian in 2004. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
Musk has rarely spoken about his own losses, but he offered sympathy in an email exchange with the father of an 18-year-old boy who died in a Tesla vehicle fire in 2018.

Five years after the twins were born, the couple welcomed triplets Kai, Saxon and Damien into the world through in vitro fertilization (IVF) in 2006.

After divorcing Wilson, Musk married actress Tallulah Riley in 2010.
The two divorced in 2012, remarried in 2013, and finally divorced in 2016.

Grimes – Mother X Æ A-Xii, Exa Darksiderel, Techno
Musk and the “Oblivion” singer’s first child, a son named X Æ A-Xii, was born in May 2020.
In December 2021, the couple quietly welcomed daughter Exa Dirk Seidler via surrogate.
Their son was originally named X Æ A-12, but they had to legally change his name according to California’s birth certificate laws, but the parents just call him “X.”
His name is pronounced “ex-ash-a-twelve,” Musk explained on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast shortly after his son’s birth, crediting Grimes for coming up with the name in large part.
“My partner was the one who mainly came up with the name.” He said.
“It’s just X, the letter X. And ‘Æ’ is pronounced ‘ash.’ And ‘A-12’ is my contribution.”
The two split in September 2021, but reconciled around the birth of their daughter, Exa Dark Sidell. Her name is pronounced “Sidheel,” but her nickname is “Y.”
In September of this year, it was confirmed that the couple had welcomed their third child, a boy named Techno Mechanicus, who they nicknamed “Tau.”

In November 2021, Musk and Siobhan Gillis welcomed twins, Strider and Azul.
Musk and Gillis, who works for him at Neuralink, the brain chip company he founded, have reportedly given birth to twins through in vitro fertilization.
The couple petitioned a Texas court to allow their children to “have their father’s surname and include their mother’s surname as part of their middle name.” Business Insider reported in 2022.
It was revealed on Saturday that the couple welcomed their third child, whose name has not been released, earlier this year.
The birth of the baby has just become known to the public, Musk told Page Six on Sunday. That the child is no secret to friends and family.
“As for the ‘secret fathering’ thing, that’s also false,” he said.
“All my friends and family know. It would be weird not to put out a press release, but that doesn’t mean it’s a ‘secret.'”
Musk and Gillis have not revealed the gender of their baby.
