A judge has granted Emma Roberts a restraining order against a man she claims broke into her home while she was out of town.
According to Roberts’ protective custody application, filed in Los Angeles on May 14 and obtained by Fox News Digital, the man broke into her home and used her landline to call the “American Horror Story” star.
Roberts reportedly locked herself out of her home while leaving for work in California on May 7. The actress said in her lawsuit that the man broke into her home sometime between May 7 and 8.
“The defendant used my landline to call my cell phone while at my residence,” court documents state. “During the conversation, I realized it was a stranger calling and confirmed that he was still at my residence.”

Roberts claimed she received a missed call on her landline and called back, thinking it was a family member. A man she did not know answered the phone and called her “Emma.” He allegedly told Roberts that he had given her permission to stay at his house.
The “Scream Queens” star denied knowing the man or allowing him into her home.
Police were “immediately contacted,” but the 33-year-old man reportedly evaded arrest. The suit claims he continues to send “disturbing text messages” to the actress.
“I continue to live in fear and am afraid to return to my home,” Roberts wrote in court documents.
