In a recent interview with UK Sky News, Pakistan’s British High Commissioner, Mohammad Faisal, was questioned about President Trump’s involvement in the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan.
Declared on Saturday at 5 PM, the ceasefire was communicated by Trump through a post on his social media platform, rather than through the military channels of the two nations.
The High Commissioner mentioned, “I don’t have specifics, but there’s no reason to distrust President Trump for tweeting about it. It would certainly be beneficial if our allies assist us in achieving peace.”

The ceasefire was first shared on social media by former President Trump, who advocates for American involvement in mediating what he described as a “full and immediate ceasefire.”
On Sunday, Trump commended the “strong and unshakable” leadership of both India and Pakistan for their efforts in reaching this ceasefire, asserting that their legacies have been significantly enhanced through these courageous actions. He stated in his True Society post, “Let’s see if, after a million years, a solution for Kashmir can be found.”
“I am extremely proud of the strong leadership in both countries and recognize that it was essential to halt the current hostilities, which could lead to great loss of life,” he said.
“Countless innocent individuals might have lost their lives! Your legacy has been solidified by these brave decisions, and I take pride in having contributed to this historic moment,” he added.
This morning, there was a sense of calm in the Kashmir Valley, marking the first night in six days without the sounds of aircraft, missiles, and drones overhead.
