A woman filed a lawsuit against psychiatrist Henry Jarecki in Manhattan federal court on Monday, alleging rape and human trafficking, according to NBC News.
The woman who claims she was sexually abused by Jeffrey Epstein has filed a lawsuit against prominent psychiatrist, entrepreneur and commodities trader Henry Jarecki. according to The lawsuit accuses the 91-year-old Jarecki of rape and sex trafficking after Epstein sent her to him for psychiatric treatment, she told NBC News.

The plaintiff, who calls herself “Jane Doe 11,” claims Jarecki was a close aide to Epstein, who committed suicide in a New York prison in 2019. Reports suggest Epstein secretly had Jarecki “treat” other young women in an attempt to divert attention from his own sexual abuse. According to the lawsuit, Jarecki knew Epstein had control over the women, allowing him to abuse them without fear of them reporting him. According to NBC News, the lawsuit details that Jarecki used testosterone pills to boost his libido and “repeatedly raped” Jane Doe 11 from 2011 to December 2014. The lawsuit also alleges that Jarecki invited other men to have sex with her in his presence.
Jarecki’s lawyer, Sarita Kedia, said: statement To CNBC.
“The allegations will be proven to be completely false and without merit. Dr. Jarecki has never engaged in any abusive conduct towards the plaintiffs or any other person,” Kedia told CNBC.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified monetary damages for sexual assault, sex trafficking and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Brad Edwards, one of the plaintiffs’ attorneys, praised his client’s courage.
“This is an important lawsuit brought by a courageous young woman and we are honored to represent her,” Edwards told CNBC. “We hope her courage will encourage others to feel comfortable coming forward.”
Jarecki, an adjunct professor at Yale University School of Medicine and a recipient of the Pardes Mental Health Humanitarian Award, is co-author of “Modern Psychiatric Treatment,” according to NBC News. He gained fame in the 1980s as the “head of the U.S. gold market” and later co-founded Moviefone, which was acquired by AOL in 1999 for approximately $390 million.
