European Market: Click here for opening call

European markets are set to open in negative territory on Monday.

According to IG data, the UK's FTSE 100 index fell 15 points to 7,671, Germany's DAX fell 15 points to 16,573, France's CAC fell 14 points to 7,405 and Italy's FTSE MIB fell 62 points. It is expected to start at 30,468.

Eurozone retail sales statistics for December will be released on Monday.
