Speaking on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom” on Tuesday, assistant Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh responded to accusations that it is Hamas that is obstructing the cease-fire while Israel seems constantly under pressure to make changes by saying diplomacy is not easy and “everyone has to come to the negotiating table and agree to the terms.”
Co-host Dana Perino reads the message The Wall Street Journal In an editorial, the paper said diplomacy had not worked and Hamas had walked away from ceasefire talks, adding: “We would like to point out that while Israel seems to always say it needs change, Hamas has continued to resist and is now saying it will not negotiate at all.”
Singh responded, “Diplomacy takes a lot of time and effort, and there’s a lot going on in the region. So we need to reduce tensions to get a ceasefire agreement in place. Did I say it’s easy? No, it’s hard work. That’s why you’re meeting with your colleagues at the State Department.
