Former Teacher Charged with Prostitution Activities

A former junior high school teacher has been arrested for allegedly operating prostitution parties from his home in a suburb of Rochester, New York.

According to investigations, 66-year-old Eric Simpson hosted these events at his residence on Canandaigua Road in Macedonia between 2021 and December 2025. Evidence from emails revealed details of these gatherings, as noted in a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of New York.

Prosecutors stated that his home served as a venue for “commercial sex transactions” involving various sex workers and clients.

“Simpson often promoted, managed, and organized prostitution parties, facilitating engagements between commercial sex workers and guests,” the press release indicated. Interestingly, he was known by the nickname “Major Hands.”

Furthermore, even when he wasn’t present, he allegedly organized meetings between prostitutes and their clients at his home.

The marketing emails he sent touted the number of sex workers attending these events, with personal touches, such as referencing them by name and providing parking instructions. He also directed clients to negotiate “donations” for the “dancer.”

Simpson served as a technology teacher at the North Rose Wolcott Central School District from August 2024 until he retired in January 2026. The district affirmed that he underwent background checks, including fingerprinting and a review of the New York State Sex Offender Registry, as per state education standards.

The district stressed that the allegations exceed his role as an employee and have no implications regarding his work at North Rose Wolcott. They pledged full cooperation with law enforcement investigations, emphasizing the priority of student and staff safety.

His past roles included working as a substitute teacher at the Gananda Central School District from September 2020 to June 2022 and a middle school computer science teacher from September 2022 to August 2024.

It’s worth noting that the house in question has six bedrooms, which raises questions about the extent of these activities.

After his arraignment, Mr. Simpson was released by Federal Judge Jeremiah J. McCarthy under undisclosed conditions.

Macedon is a small community of about 9,000 residents situated on the Erie Canal between Rochester and Syracuse.
