Exiled crown prince believes Iran turmoil marks the 'start of the end'

Protests in Iran Seen as Opportunity for Change

According to exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, the ongoing unrest in Iran signals the potential downfall of the Islamic regime, presenting what he calls a “golden opportunity” for change. He shared these thoughts during an appearance on a recent show.

Pahlavi stated, “They know they are falling apart. A decisive blow could be a game-changing, knockout punch for this regime…” His words emphasized a moment he perceives as crucial in pushing the regime towards its end.

He pointed out apparent fractures within Iran’s security forces, mentioning intelligence reports suggesting that many military and militia members are hesitant to enforce orders against protesters.

These divisions, alongside ongoing public unrest, seem to be fueling fresh optimism for those opposing the regime, particularly as pressure from the Trump administration continues.

Pahlavi expressed confidence that President Trump understands the complexities of the situation, stating, “I believe that President Trump knows exactly what he is facing and will not accept the administration’s last-gasp attempts to commit to negotiations.” He added that such attempts are becoming transparent to observers.

He indicated that people are eager for change, declaring, “Time is running out,” and that those protesting are taking matters into their own hands. “We are the boots on the ground. We don’t need American boots on the ground. Count on us. We’re doing our part. But please come help.” His call highlights the desire for international support.

In a supportive tweet, President Trump voiced his backing for the Iranian protesters, claiming that “America stands ready to help” as they seek freedom. He warned last week that the US would respond firmly if the regime resorted to widespread violence.

Trump stated, “You hit hard where it hurts. That doesn’t mean putting your boots on the ground, but it does mean hitting really hard where it hurts.” The remarks underline a strategic stance rather than direct military intervention.
