Experts suggest there is a hidden recording of the 'Invasion of Washington' UFO discussion, and the public will soon listen to it.

The Polish government, along with experts, has announced that a long-hidden audio recording from a UFO briefing related to the Washington Invasion may soon be made public.

During the Disclosure Forum 2026, Rep. Eric Burleson (R-Missouri) mentioned the existence of a 1952 tape capturing a discussion between Air Force officials and scientists. This conversation revolved around unidentified flying objects in a meeting held by advocates for UFO transparency.

Currently, it is believed that this recording is held by the Lincoln Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, but Burleson noted that pressure from lawmakers interested in space has led to its potential release.

UFO transparency advocates have commended Burleson for revealing the existence of these recordings, praising him as a dedicated supporter of greater government transparency in matters concerning unidentified aerial phenomena.

According to Jordan Flowers, Executive Director of the Disclosure Foundation, “He stopped asking politely. He knows where certain files are. He demands answers,” highlighting Burleson’s proactive approach.

Flowers voiced his belief that the tape recorded discussions about a series of UFO sightings that occurred over Washington, D.C., during the summer of 1952—sightings that had long been rumored but never documented publicly.

In July of that year, numerous unidentified flying objects were reported in the skies around Washington, prompting rampant speculation about their origins, including theories about advanced Soviet technology or extraterrestrial life.

However, the Air Force ultimately attributed these sightings to weather phenomena during a press conference at the end of the month.

Advocates for UFO transparency argue that the potential release of the tape carries significant weight for those seeking more openness from the government about aerial mysteries. “The gloves are coming off in terms of driving transparency and understanding where these things are and removing them from the appropriate structures,” Flowers remarked.
