Sims: Harris is a ‘true radical’
Former Special Assistant to the President Cliff Sims talks about Vice President Harris’ liberal policies and achievements on “Sunday Night in America.”
The two black female activists, who have met with Harris several times and previously pledged to “seriously” support her to become the next president, could find their past actions alienating some of the “white women for Kamala” supporters ahead of the November election.
Cora Masters Barry, a longtime civil rights activist who was appointed by D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, a Democrat, and Melanie Campbell, who heads the National Coalition for Black Civic Participation, are Visited the White House A Fox News Digital investigation found that there were more than 50 such visits in total under the Biden administration, including nearly a dozen with Harris or her staff.
Weeks before Biden and Harris were to be sworn in in 2021, Barry and Campbell participated in a public Zoom call where they made controversial comments about Trump supporters and attacked white voters, particularly white women, which could spark internal conflict as various coalitions mobilize to get Harris to the White House.

Last week, about 164,000 white women tuned in to a Zoom call hosted by Moms Demand Action founder Shannon Watts and other female celebrities. The call, titled “White Women, Answer the Call,” has reportedly raised millions of dollars for Harris’ campaign and could be a major fundraising boost in the coming months.
But comments unearthed from the two activists suggest the Harris campaign is mobilizing various voting blocs to He called for “unity.”
“If you claim to support unity, it’s not enough to just use that word,” Harris said recently.
“We have to change our strategy. We have to secure our talent. We have to secure their talent. They’ve got all the trailer parks covered.” Barry said during a Zoom call.“All the people in West Virginia and the Hill Country are being protected. They were transported there all the way to Wall Street.”
“[Trump] “White men did that and here we are talking about white women. White women are bullshit. Sorry, forget about white women. White women just do what white men tell them to do,” Barry continued, drawing laughter and applause from Campbell.
“That’s what they tell themselves,” Campbell interjected.
“They want to keep smiling and keep leading,” Barry continued, as Campbell responded in approval behind him. “We don’t care about them. We just do what we have to do.”
Barry added that the black community “needs to get serious about organizing to elect Kamala Harris as the next president of the United States” and “we don’t want a women’s parade.”
“If there’s another Women’s March, I’ll be there and blow it up,” Barry said.
Barry also attacked supporters of then-President Trump. Comparing them to the Ku Klux Klan “I’m not saying that everyone who voted for Trump wears white sheets, but they have white sheets in their closet that come out when they start to upset economic values and the balance of power,” he said.

Barry said at the time that if Biden wins the 2020 election, her group “needs to start organizing to make sure the next president of the United States is a Black woman.”
“And if we don’t reach out to all black people, that’s not going to happen, because they’re the ones that are going to put her in there,” Barry added. “White people are not going to put her in there.”
During the same Zoom call, Campbell was also critical of white women who voted for Trump, saying “race” and “white privilege” were the driving factors behind their votes and that she couldn’t understand how they could support someone who “disrespects you as a woman.”

“Am I surprised? No. Am I frustrated? Yeah, but I’m determined that I have to stand up and find a way to address this,” Campbell said. “What I don’t want to do is do what I did in 2016, which is have these pointless conversations where you tell me you need to sit down with your white female friends and talk about it. No, you don’t. You have to go talk to your sister. You have to go talk to your cousin.”
“I don’t want to understand why white people do that. They do that because that’s what I would do if I were them. They’re fighting to maintain control and supremacy. That’s what they do. I’m not mad at them. I’m mad at ourselves,” Barry said of the black community.
Near the end of the Zoom call, Barry said it was a “perfect opportunity” to mobilize Black voters and push his policies because “there’s a lot of white guilt money out there.”
“I’m going to take it, I’m going to take it into my community, I’m going to radicalize my people so that they come and take your job. I’m saying it’s time to take action,” she continued.

In addition to Barry’s comments about white women, Fox News Digital previously reported that Barry lavished praise on notorious anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan during a private event honoring her late husband, former Washington Mayor Marion Barry, in 2022.
Barry spoke at a private ceremony, praising Farrakhan, who has made anti-Semitic comments for decades, including calling Jews “evil” and likening them to termites. Barry called Farrakhan a “friend” and a “family member,” and said, “I love you more than words can express.”
“Reverend Farrakhan, we love you more than you love us, you just don’t know it,” she added.

Farrakhan praised Barry, saying, “Thank God for this woman. She’s a treasure. A true treasure.”
Spokespeople for Barry and Campbell have defended the comments about white women, previously telling Fox News Digital that the comments were meant to suggest white women are not reliable Democratic voters and that the vice president was not involved in the conversation.
Barry, Campbell and the Harris campaign did not respond to Fox News Digital’s requests for comment.
