Next season, Formula 1 will feature six locations for the F1 sprint race, with three circuits hosting the format for the first time.

The F1 sprint schedule kicks off with the Grand Prix in China, where Shanghai will see this format for the third year in a row. Following that, the Miami Grand Prix will host its second sprint race. Hard Rock Stadium will again welcome this exciting format in its third season.

Additionally, the F1 sprint will make a return to the UK Grand Prix, as Silverstone was the site of the inaugural event during the 2021 season.

For the other three sprint races in 2026, they will take place at new circuits. Both the Canadian Grand Prix, the Dutch Grand Prix, and the Singapore Grand Prix are set to feature the sprint format for the very first time.

In a recent announcement, F1 President Stefano Domenicali emphasized the “positive impact and popularity” of the F1 Sprint format, mentioning that it “offers competitive action each day of the race weekend.”

Domenicali noted that since its introduction in 2021, the F1 Sprint has grown significantly, providing more action to engage fans, broadcasters, and promoters. He also expressed pride in welcoming Gatorade as the official partner of the F1 Sprint, reflecting strong interest from this global brand.

“The 2026 season will usher in a new era of regulations, and having three new sprint venues will only heighten the excitement,” he continued. Gratitude was expressed to the FIA, promoters, partners, and volunteers who contribute to the success of these events. Domenicali looks forward to delivering even more thrilling racing experiences in the upcoming season.
