F1 Australian Grand Prix 2025: Starting grid for season-opening race

The first race of the 2025 Formula One season is only hours away.

How do I bring the driver onto the grid?

McLaren locked out the front row of Australia's Grand Prix, and Landnoris took pole position just in front of his teammates and his hometown hero. This gave Norris a chance to win his second race when he started from pole position, and he ended the 2024 season with a victory at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix starting at P1.

However, once the lights go off, there are some quick drivers behind the McLaren duo. 2024 Formula 1 driver champion Max Verstappen came in third and alongside George Russell with him in P4. In the third row, there are plenty of surprises as Yuki Tsunoda is fifth and Alex Albon is sixth.

Charles Leclerc ranks seventh alongside his new teammate Lewis Hamilton, who has qualified eighth, in the fourth row of all reds.

Pierre Gasly of Alpine finishes 9th, while Carlos Sainz Jr. of Williams finishes in the top 10 from 10th.

Behind the field, Oliver Baerman was unable to set the time after a gearbox breakdown on the Q1 – begins in the pit lane after Haas makes changes to his car's suspension under Parc Ferme conditions.

This is the complete starting grid for the 2025 Australian Grand Prix.
