Tragic Plane Crash in Florida Claims Lives of Father and Daughter
On Monday, a small plane crash in Florida resulted in the deaths of a father and daughter who were on a mission to deliver hurricane relief supplies to Jamaica.
According to Ignite the Fire, the organization founded by Alexander Wurm, 53, and his 22-year-old daughter Selina Wurm, the Beech B100 airplane crashed shortly after taking off from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. The crash occurred in a waterway in Coral Springs, which is a suburb of Fort Lauderdale, approximately five minutes into the flight towards Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Aerial footage following the incident revealed fallen palm trees and the aircraft located near a large reservoir. The National Transportation Safety Board has launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.

They are survived by Alexander’s wife, Candice; their son, 17-year-old James; and their older daughter, Christiana, who is 20.
The Coral Springs Police Department confirmed that the crash took place at 10:19 a.m. on November 10, and stated that they are cooperating with the Federal Aviation Administration as the investigation continues.
