Father of NYC girl reportedly murdered by mother faces difficulties covering funeral costs.

The father of a 5-year-old girl from Queens, who was allegedly killed by her mother, is struggling to cover funeral expenses, as he expressed in an online fundraiser.

“The funeral home and cemetery are asking for a deposit, and I do not have the money for it,” Kuldeep Singh stated on a GoFundMe page after his daughter, Fabiana Cabello, was found dead in their home on Wednesday.

Just two days after this tragic event, Singh reached out for assistance, writing, “I am asking for help with her funeral and cemetery costs.”

He shared the depth of his pain, stating, “I loved my daughter very much, and losing her feels like I lost my whole world.”

His situation has been particularly difficult; working as a cab driver seems nearly impossible while grappling with this immense loss. He mentioned, “I am trying to keep working as an Uber driver while driving a rental car, but I am grieving and struggling to manage these costs at the same time.”

Fabiana’s mother, 32-year-old Francis Cabello, has been charged with murder after reportedly admitting to a 911 operator, “I killed my daughter,” according to police and sources.

Little Fabiana was discovered unresponsive and bleeding from her nose and mouth at their home in South Richmond Hill on Wednesday evening.

Franklin Cabello, the girl’s grandfather, expressed the family’s devastation, saying, “As a family, we feel mentally and physically destroyed. We can’t think [clearly] but we put our confidence in God.”

It has been reported that Francis had psychological issues and may have strangled her daughter, as the prosecutors hinted during her arraignment on Friday.

Initial autopsy results indicated that Fabiana had sustained facial scrapes and petechiae on her eyes, heart, and lungs—symptoms often associated with asphyxia. The official cause of death is still under investigation.

After the incident, Francis was taken to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

Now, Singh is hoping to give his daughter “a proper funeral and cemetery service.” In his post, he emphasized that even small donations could help lighten this burden during such a challenging time.

He concluded with a plea, saying, “If you are able to help, please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser. Thank you for supporting my daughter and helping me honor her memory.”
