Former Fugitive Admits to Sex Trafficking
A man previously listed on the FBI’s Most Wanted list has confessed to trafficking teenage girls for gifts, according to law enforcement officials.
Donald Eugene Fields II, 61, entered a guilty plea on Thursday related to child sex trafficking charges. Prosecutors claim he offered a friend access to minors in exchange for extravagant gifts, a practice that allegedly began when he was just 14.
From the winter of 2013 to the summer of 2016, Fields reportedly accepted various bribes—things like cash, vehicles, and vacations—from his accomplice, Theodore “Ted” John Sartori Sr., who was also involved in criminal activities with minors.
In the summer of 2016, Sartori allegedly provided a vacation in Florida, transporting an underage girl there for sexual purposes. During this time, Fields supposedly directed the minor to engage in sexual acts with Sartori.
At the same time, Fields was facing other serious allegations in Franklin County, Missouri, including charges of statutory rape and child molestation. He went missing, skipping a court appearance in May 2022.
He was subsequently added to the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list in May 2023.
On January 26, 2025, Fields was arrested during a routine traffic stop in Lady Lake, Florida. Police discovered he was on the wanted list after noticing discrepancies with his vehicle’s license plate.
Sartori, now 65, is currently serving a 10-year sentence after pleading guilty in August 2024 to charges related to unlawful sexual activity.
Fields is set for sentencing on July 15, facing a minimum of 10 years in prison, with a maximum of 10 years as well.
