Feds move to toss Mayor Eric Adams’ historic bribery case

The Justice Department moved Monday to dismiss a historic bribery lawsuit against Mayor Eric Adams. The Big Apple leader has achieved a big personal and political victory, and the Post has confirmed.

The new Justice Department under President Donald Trump has directed the Southern District of New York to dismiss the lawsuit without bias. That is, he said future charges could be redeposited.

An SDNY representative declined to comment.

The surprising turn of events appears to mark the end of a long-standing criminal investigation into the 2021 mayoral campaign that hangs on Hezoner's head during his scandal-stricken first term tenure.

Adams, who was charged in September, exchanged for political benefits, including a rapid tracking of the opening of the Turkish consulate in Manhattan, for several thousand or upgraded luxury trips, as bribery from foreigners. He was accused of accepting the dollar.

The motion to fire comes after weeks of Adams attempted to get Trump's good bounty by not criticizing the president and getting in his way to publicly align with the new immigration policy.

Adams also rushed to Trump's inauguration with an invitation on the evening hours before the ceremony, and had lunch in the then presidential election at one of the golf clubs near Marlago.

Additionally, his celebrity lawyer, Alex Spiro, found some way to do it either by pardon or dismissal, and worked through legal backchannels.

Uninterrupted by the looming potential prison time, Adams now has what is expected to be a bruised primary in Dem's slate, looking to abdicate the seemingly vulnerable incumbent mayor. You can pivot.

But the bribery case has been brought to administrators by the mayor who has noticed the mayor fallen into similar legal troubles, including crime, immigration crisis and fallen companions. It was just one of the issues that dragged the poll numbers down. .

The news of the investigation exploded in November 2023 when Adams' top fundraiser Brianna Suggs was attacked by the Fed, forcing him to suddenly return from Washington, DC, shortly after the land.

The agents also stormed the Brooklyn-based KSK Construction, the home of longtime Adams staff member Rana Abbsova, and CenkÖcal, a former Turkish airline executive and member of the mayoral transition team.

A few days later, the federal government stopped Adams on the street, “forgotten” his password and handed over all electronic devices, including phones that the Fed had no access.

On September 26th, the Southern District of New York Office of then-US US attorney Damian Williams announced a historic 57-page indictment against the mayor.

For months, the mayor's famous lawyer, Spiro, tried to persuade Biden Dozi and the judge to hear about the case and dismiss it.

Adams' defense team is more open to their lawsuits, even though the Trump administration began under Trump's first term in 2021, through either a presidential pardon or a termination from the highest level of the DOJ. I had long been hoping it would become.

Judge Dale Ho, who heard of the case in Manhattan Federal Court, still needs to be registered for fire, but that seems to be formal, as prosecutors say they are not going to continue the case. It will be done.
