Senator John Fetterman Expresses Support for Military Action Against Drug Trafficking
Senator John Fetterman, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, has reportedly shown his backing for military action to combat drug trafficking within the United States.
“Full support for our country facing cartel drug trafficking,” he stated, sharing a screenshot of a Fox News article that highlighted a related issue.
The article referenced remarks from President Trump about a recent military strike on cartel activities originating from Venezuela. Trump claimed the action was necessary to send a clear message to the Maduro regime, asserting that there would be no safe havens for drug traffickers.
Earlier this week, Trump discussed how the military targeted “narcotelorists” involved in smuggling drugs into the U.S. He described the operation, stating that the attack occurred while terrorists were in international waters, leading to the elimination of 11 individuals involved.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio hinted that more military actions may be on the horizon. “And it’s going to happen again. Maybe it’s happening now, I don’t know,” he noted, indicating possible ongoing efforts against drug trafficking.
Fox News Digital sought additional comments from Fetterman’s office regarding his apparent endorsement of the Trump administration’s strategies against drug trafficking, but did not receive a response by the time of publication.
