Fetterman praises ICE for arresting child sex offenders, Luna supports the death penalty

Senator John Fetterman (D-Pa.) has voiced his support for the apprehension of illegal alien child sex offenders by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Meanwhile, Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) has pushed for these individuals to potentially face the death penalty.

On Monday, ICE released information indicating that they had arrested 214 illegal aliens accused or convicted of sexual offenses involving minors in the Houston area over the last six months.

Fetterman shared, “I do not support or agree with all ICE tactics or actions. However, I fully endorse these efforts; they will enhance safety for our country and protect all children.”

In response to ICE’s actions, Luna remarked on X, stating, “I’m going to skip deportation. I’m going directly to the death penalty. Don’t pass. Don’t raise $200.”

A press release from ICE revealed one individual arrested, Jose Guadalupe Meza, a 40-year-old deported offender from Mexico, was arrested on June 24th for crimes related to child theft and sexual assault.

Additionally, Gisele Fetterman admitted that she does not support her husband John’s aspirations for a higher office.

This news emerges amid ongoing efforts by the Trump administration to tighten border and immigration enforcement measures.

Previously, Fetterman has expressed backing for ICE’s operations, condemning calls for the agency’s elimination as “inappropriate” and “outrageous.”

He noted, “To handle the surge in illegal immigration witnessed over the past four years, it is crucial to utilize the entire federal law enforcement community, focusing on the arrest and removal of significant numbers of violent offenders and child sex offenders.”
