Financial Records Show That Fani Willis Received Donation From Trump Judge

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee, who is overseeing the case against Donald Trump, has donated money to Fani Willis’ campaign in the past, according to records obtained by news outlets.

But legal experts disputed one news network’s claim that this appeared to constitute a conflict of interest in the Trump case.

The two eventually admitted to dating, but denied any wrongdoing, insisting that Willis should not have been removed from the case and that their previous relationship was not a conflict of interest. The district attorney also vigorously disputed her claims that she benefited financially from the arrangement.
