Fish falls from sky, damages New Jersey couple’s Tesla

That’s painful for the bass.

A fish fell from the sky and slammed into a Tesla parked in a New Jersey couple’s driveway, cracking the car’s windshield.

Cynthia and Jeff Levin said they heard a crash outside their Atlantic Highlands home, about a mile from the nearest body of water, Raritan Bay. According to ABC7.

“Cars started honking, like the most crazy honking I’ve ever heard, and I didn’t know how to stop them,” Cynthia said. “I got out and [Jeff] “It was somewhere in the yard. He heard the crash and other noises but ignored them.”

When they went to investigate, they found the Tesla’s windshield was shattered and covered in “fish scales and blood.”

“We were like, Oh my goodness, look at this,” Cynthia told the outlet.

The bizarre incident was caught on a car security camera, which shows a small fish suddenly falling from the sky and slamming into the Tesla.

They initially thought someone with a grudge against them might have thrown a fish at the car.

“Is someone following us?” Jeff wondered.

But they now believe they have identified the vandals.

“We have an eagle’s nest in our backyard… we think it might be the work of an eagle,” Cynthia said.

Locals say it is common to see the bird flying around with a fish in its mouth.

The Levins think the eagle must have dropped their dinner.

The Levines said they expect to have their Tesla back soon after repairs are completed.

Jeff had a message for the other birds targeting his car.

“I lowered my deductible, so if anybody’s listening, don’t drop it here, because now my insurance covers it,” he joked.

A similar incident occurred in nearby Sayreville last year when a bird of prey dropped a fish on top of a transformer, cutting off power to thousands of people.
