Mina Farmen Bertusen, 30, a flight attendant for Oslo-based Norwegian Air, was not working the night she shot the video. She was a passenger on her own airline visiting family and requested a cockpit seat for part of the flight.

“It was a short 40-minute flight, but it was raining a lot,” Bertorsen told FOX News Digital. “It wasn't really a bumpy flight, but it was so interesting because you couldn't see anything that I wanted to photograph it.”

The rare glimpse of what's going on inside the cockpit during stormy weather left viewers baffled, and the video garnered more than 3.5 million views.

As the plane approaches landing, you can hear the pilot counting down how many meters the plane is off the ground, which Berthusen says is a false belief that the plane will land on autopilot.

“You can actually hear it in the video,” she said. “At about 300 to 400 meters, you hear a loud warning sound. That means they've turned off the autopilot, which means they're completely in control of the plane from there. Autopilot is only used in certain situations.

Berthussen said the view from the cockpit confirmed what she already knew about pilot training and professionalism.
