Two best friends from Florida experienced one of the most rewarding experiences of their lives together: motherhood, and it was caught on camera.
It all started in May 2024, when Carolyn Shada announced her pregnancy to her best friend Kari Gaynor, but even she was surprised when her friend told her she was pregnant too.
“Our due dates were eight days apart, so we always joked about the idea that we might all be able to go to the hospital at the same time,” she wrote on Instagram.
“I never thought our sons would be born on the same day.”
But that's exactly what happened. In August, the best friends went into labor and gave birth to a baby boy on the same day at the same hospital.
“Her precious baby boy was born a little after 12 a.m. on Tuesday,” Shada said.
“The hospital we were admitted to was at capacity so we were transferred to triage a few hours after she delivered the baby. As morning approached, I headed to the hospital and saw that she had given birth to the baby. My son was born in the same midwife group later that afternoon. he wrote in an Instagram post.
“You can't make something like this up!” Shada added.
