A teacher at a Christian school in Florida was arrested this week on suspicion of creating child sexual abuse materials using photos from school yearbooks and artificial intelligence (AI), authorities said.
The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office announced that Steven Hauser, 67, of New Port Richey, will be charged with possession of child pornography.
Deputies began the investigation after receiving an unspecified tip about Hauser.

An investigation revealed that Beacon, a third-grade science teacher at Beacon Christian Academy, was suspected of possessing two photos and three videos depicting child pornography.
None of the images showed students from the school where he worked, authorities said.
He is also said to have possessed erotic material aimed at children that was generated using an AI computer program.

Hauser allegedly admitted to investigators that he used photos from three students’ yearbooks when generating content using AI.
Hauser was charged with five counts of felony possession of child pornography, according to court records. He was held at the Land O’ Lakes Jail and paid $100,000 on each charge.
Beacon County Christian Academy did not immediately respond to inquiries from Fox News Digital.
