Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis honored football player Mike Evans with NFL honors on Friday, Jan. 10.ththe Sunshine State declared this day “Mike Evans Day.”

The governor also emphasized that Evans is involved in philanthropic efforts that support communities not only in Tampa Bay but also in his home state of Texas.
Evans isn't necessarily known as a “flashy” player, but rather is still one of the best players at his position within the division. Most football experts believe Evans will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the future.
Evans and the Buccaneers will look to celebrate “Mike Evans Day” in the best way possible with a win over the Washington Commanders in the Wild Card Round of the Playoffs during Sunday Night Football.
