Florida good Samaritans rescue mom, children from attempted kidnapper Yanni Human

A group of brave and good Samaritans are welcomed as heroes after intervening to save a woman and two small children from a catastrophic situation outside the Jacksonville, Florida automotive division.

The incident took place on March 12th in the DMV parking lot on North Main Street.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO), witnesses saw the man trying to escape in a car in an SUV, and the woman desperately tried to take the two young children and a six-month-old child out of the back seat.

Investigators say the man, who was later identified as 26-year-old Janni Human, was driving, saying “contrary to the woman’s will, he dragged her and one of his children through the parking lot.”

What happened next was nothing but surprising.

“A good Samaritan in Jacksonville could intervene in dangerous situations and save his mother and two children from serious injuries or bad things,” the JSO wrote in a Facebook post explaining the incident.

Without hesitation, the bystanders were able to rush to and safely pull the women and children as the vehicle continued to move.

The man escaped the scene, but not before the witness provided the 911 dispatcher with a detailed description and the license plate number for the SUV.

JSO’s District 6 Task Force officials, along with information and surveillance footage, used it to find and arrest people at a nearby shopping centre later that day.

“This situation may have ended in a tragedy. Your JSO is grateful for the prompt action and courage of a good Samaritan who helped bring the suspect to trial and bring the suspect to trial,” the post added.
