Florida man charged after 150 pounds of meth seized in largest bust in city’s history

A Florida man possessed methamphetamine with intent to distribute after nearly 150 pounds of methamphetamine was seized by Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents earlier this month, the Central District of Florida’s Attorney’s Office announced Friday. was charged with a crime.

After executing two search warrants at a home in Orlando and a home in Ocoee earlier this month, investigators found in addition to methamphetamine, 2 kilograms of cocaine, 1 kilogram of fentanyl and more than 100,000 pills disguised as legitimate pharmaceutical drugs. DEA Special Agent in Charge Deanne Reuter said the large drug shipment was one of the largest on record in the city.

“The Ferai Bogiazis profited from distributing poison to this community and made a lot of money,” Handberg said. “While he is currently in prison, my office will work to ensure that he remains in prison until his trial and, if convicted, for a period that fully reflects the harm his actions caused. ”
