Florida Man Arrested for Violent Threats Against Ex-Girlfriend
Recently, numerous arrests took place at a Florida gym, where a man allegedly harassed his ex-girlfriend multiple times and sent her violent threats.
Christian Jesus Arias Acosta, 26, is charged with domestic violence, including making one written threat to kill or cause serious physical harm, as stated in court records.
Arias Acosta, whose tattooed face and neck are evident in his mug shot, had been in a relationship with his ex-girlfriend for about five months before things turned sour after their breakup, according to police reports.
His initial threats, while not graphic, instilled enough fear in the victim that she found herself pleading for mercy. “If I don’t let you see me, can’t you just stop bothering me? Christian, please stop,” she begged.
In response, he allegedly proclaimed, “No, never—until you die.” His messages became increasingly disturbing, detailing violent intentions.
Feeling genuinely threatened, the victim gathered all evidence, including the location of Arias Acosta’s iPhone, which he continued sharing with her post-breakup, and presented it to the police.
Authorities located him at a Miami gym and arrested him while he was working out. After waiving his Miranda rights, Arias Acosta confessed to various details regarding his previous relationship, though specifics were not disclosed.
This isn’t an isolated case. There have been other instances where spurned lovers resort to extreme measures for revenge. For example, a hairstylist from New Jersey hired a hitman to murder her ex-boyfriend and his daughter, offering a shocking $12,000 bounty on them. Furthermore, there was a case in Manhattan where a man killed his ex-girlfriend and was caught after he allegedly told bystanders to “tie” her as she lay dying.
