Florida man shoots Uber Eats driver in the backside and assaults him after the driver attempted to get the suspect's girlfriend's number, according to police.

A 33-year-old man from Florida allegedly shot an Uber Eats driver in the buttocks and assaulted him with a handgun after the driver attempted to get the phone number of the suspect’s girlfriend, as reported by a local news outlet.

The incident occurred early on a Monday outside the Pearl Dadeland Apartments located at 7440 N. Kendall Drive. This information comes from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

‘Babe, please stop!’

A sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the scene shortly after 3:30 a.m. following reports of gunfire. According to the report, a bystander approached the deputy and informed him that several individuals were involved in a fight but had already left the area.

At around the same time, the victim arrived at Baptist Health South Miami Hospital with a gunshot wound.

During an interview with deputies, the victim claimed he had delivered food to a woman at the apartment complex about an hour earlier and felt a connection with her. He later returned around 3:25 a.m. hoping to speak with her again and perhaps get her phone number, but that did not work out as he had hoped.

As he was getting back to his vehicle, the woman’s boyfriend, identified as Khuslen Saruultuya, pulled up in a Chevrolet Corvette.

Saruultuya allegedly directed the victim to lie on the ground while pointing a handgun at him. The victim complied and, while on the ground, Saruultuya fired a shot that grazed him on the right buttock. While the victim remained on the ground, Saruultuya struck him on the head with the gun, leading to a two-inch open wound.

Afterward, Saruultuya ordered the victim to stand while pointing the gun at his head, threatening, “I am going to kill you.” Witnessing this, Saruultuya’s girlfriend pleaded for him to stop.

The victim reported that Saruultuya chased him around the Corvette while continuing to aim the gun at him and the girlfriend tried to intervene.

Law enforcement traced the Corvette’s license plate to Saruultuya and went to his apartment to make an arrest; the victim was later able to identify him from a photo lineup.

During a preliminary search of Saruultuya’s apartment, officers discovered various drugs, including Xanax, Adderall, oxycodone, amphetamines, ketamine, cocaine, MDMA, psilocybin mushrooms, and marijuana.

Additionally, Saruultuya was found with 16 pills of the erectile dysfunction medication Cialis as well as two bags of a party drug known as pink cocaine.

In court, Saruultuya claimed the drugs were his prescriptions, which led the judge to caution him against discussing the case further.

Originally from Mongolia, Saruultuya faces serious charges, including attempted murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and multiple drug trafficking offenses.

During his court session, the judge denied him bail, and jail records indicate that he remained in custody later in the week. Notably, Saruultuya was previously involved in another incident at a gym where he had a confrontation with a man who was reportedly looking at his girlfriend.
