Florida man taken into custody for allegedly threatening to target churches online.

A man from Florida has been fired and subsequently arrested due to alleged online threats against a church. Authorities revealed the details surrounding Michael Iaboni, 32, following a tip received by Crime Stoppers, as noted in an affidavit from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

It appears Iaboni shared a video on social media where, after losing his job, he expressed intentions of harming a place of worship. On November 4, he declared, “I’m fired. I’m fired up,” but the video has reportedly been deleted since then.

In this video, he also purportedly mentioned, “These are all kill shots,” simulating the act of firing a gun. He added, “I have no intention of taking my own life, but I understand that the people I’m going after are dangerous and potentially dangerous.” He specifically named Christ Fellowship as one of his targets, suggesting that he was prepared for violent action.

Iaboni had made another unsettling post on November 7, referring to a situation that “looks like genocide.” He lives approximately 2.4 miles from the church in question, and it’s been indicated that he registered for a church event on November 2 to better understand the organization. Subsequently, church officials alerted law enforcement about his frequent visits.

Currently, Iaboni faces charges for making a written threat to kill or inflict bodily harm and remains in custody with a bail set at $250,000.
