The Florida Department of Health has accused a Miami plastic surgeon operating from a strip mall that caused the patient's 2023 death in a Brazilian butt lift.
Listed as a surgeon at New Life Plastic Surgery and West Miami-Dade's Boutinic Aesthetics, Dr. Fermin Morales, was wrong in the glut section of an unknown patient who was found to be a fatal mistake, according to administrative complaints. It is said that fat was injected into the area and was submitted to him Miami Herald.
In 2023, Morales still worked at the Venus Cosmetic Institute/Daso Plastic Surgery, which had run out of strip malls in Doral, Florida. There have been complaints about Brazilian butt lifts or “lipsuction by glut bacteria fat graft.”
BBLS is usually made up of moving fat in the abdominal and posterior regions, but the glute muscles do not. Inserting it into the muscle is fatal and violates Florida's management laws.
Morales used ultrasound to help place the fat in the glut section of the SL, but instead injected it into the glute muscle.
The impact was almost instantaneous, and the woman died the next day.
According to the report, the autopsy reportedly found “a globule rich in lacerated fat on both sides of the SL and throughout the deep gluteal muscles.” Additional fat globules in the blood were also found in her left pulmonary vessels.
Before the fatality, Morales maintained a creaking clean record of the medical license he received in 2011. He has been board certified by the American Surgery Committee since 2009.
Morales is just one of many new life plastic surgeons with accidental fatal accusations.
In 2022, Dr. Naveed Nosrati faced a medical malpractice lawsuit after a failed abdominal surgery followed by a fatal pulmonary embolism. His insurance company paid $250,000 to settle the lawsuit.
Another BBL was wrong, and Dr. Giulio Clavyjo Alvarez was fined by the state for ruining the drainage arrangement. He also appeared in Blank's prescription signature.
Like many cosmetic surgery, BBL is extremely delicate. It gives more opportunities for things to go wrong than the average patient understands well.
One woman in the UK asked for BBL to support gym goals for greater delays, but instead basically her ass was rotten from the inside out.
Another British woman traveled to Turkey for BBL but died in the recovery room after surgery. By the time her body returned to her brain, she was missing her lungs, heart.
Still, trends continue to push. And even those who survived the fatal treatment continue to do more.
