Forensic report indicates that DNA on the gun and cartridges likely belongs to Tyler Robinson.

Prosecutors have presented a forensic analysis indicating that DNA retrieved from the weapon and shell casing connected to the murder of Charlie Kirk is highly likely to belong to Tyler Robinson.

The bullet associated with the murder of Charlie Kirk:

During the preliminary hearing, various bullets were displayed as evidence against Tyler Robinson, who faces charges for the shooting incident. This took place on July 9, 2026, in the 4th District Court of Provo, Utah.

Sergeant Jennifer Faumuina informed the court about the outcomes of DNA swabs collected from the firearm and surrounding shell casings. She noted that if the DNA profile was derived from three unidentified individuals unrelated to Tyler Robinson, it would be significantly more probable—by at least a trillion times—than if it derived from four unrelated unknown individuals.
