Former Howard Stern Employee Sues for $2.5 Million

A former employee of Howard Stern has filed a lawsuit seeking $2.5 million in damages, according to court documents acquired by Page Six. Leslie Kuhn, previously an executive assistant to Howard and his wife, Beth Stern, submitted the legal documents on Sunday.

So far, Howard, who is 72, has not responded to the allegations outlined in the lawsuit.

As previously reported, Kuhn, who managed the Sterns’ property in the Hamptons, accuses the couple of fostering a hostile work environment. She began overseeing the household staff and operations in 2024, which included managing Beth’s extensive cat rescue and adoption efforts, as detailed in the complaint.

The suit mentions that in December 2025, Howard’s production team sent Kuhn a letter announcing a planned raise of $265,000 and $80,000 in bonuses for 2026. However, she was reportedly terminated in February.

Kuhn claims that she endured “tremendous family pressures” due to the chaotic animal rescue operations underway at their residence.

The lawsuit also alleges that Kuhn was presented with a non-disclosure agreement, which she insists she never signed. She is asking the court to declare the NDA unenforceable, citing that it restricts her ability to discuss hiring and firing practices.

Moreover, the contract purportedly prevented her from disclosing various aspects of her work, including details about the Sterns’ personal lives, like their restaurant preferences and even sleeping arrangements. Kuhn’s attorney, John J. Leonard, contends that his client has been rendered “totally silenced.”

Leonard emphasized the power imbalance in this situation, saying it’s clear Kuhn faced disadvantages in terms of influence and resources. He described her as a “very strong person,” adding, “I don’t want to say she’s doing well, but she’s definitely doing well.” He further remarked that asserting one’s rights against someone significantly more powerful is always a challenging path to navigate.
