Former Washington Wizards star Gilbert Arenas raised eyebrows when he criticized three-time NBA All-Star Rudy Gobert for missing the Minnesota Timberwolves’ recent playoff game.
Gobert played in Game 1 of the Timberwolves’ Western Conference semifinal series against the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets. However, Gobert missed Game 2 on Monday because his son was born earlier in the day.
The Timberwolves won both games and held a 2-0 lead, sending the series back to Minnesota for Game 3 on Friday. Arenas felt strongly that Gobert should have been in uniform for both games.
