TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Cameron Sutton has turned himself in, ending a week-long manhunt for a former NFL defensive back wanted on a domestic violence warrant.

Sutton is wanted on suspicion of domestic assault by strangulation, a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
The Sheriff’s Office responded around 5 a.m. March 7 to a report of a domestic violence incident in progress involving Sutton and a woman. About two weeks ago, the sheriff’s office asked for help locating Sutton.
Shortly after, Lions president Rod Wood announced that Sutton was at the team’s training facility in suburban Detroit.
“We found out about the warrant at the same time everyone else found out on social media,” Wood told WJBK-TV Fox 2 last Monday. “Cam was actually in our building so I was able to talk to him. We found him. He was down with our strength staff. He worked out It seems like he showed up unexpectedly for the sake of it.”

He started all 17 regular season games, recording a career-high 65 tackles and one interception, and started each of Detroit’s three playoff games.
