Trump's former chief of staff's accusations, intended to derail President Trump's presidential campaign, were put to rest after the former chief of staff vehemently denied it to Mike Pence.
Retired Marine Gen. John Kelly said former President Donald Trump admired Adolf Hitler's military and wished he would do the same. He also said Trump meets the definition of a fascist and would rule as a dictator if elected a second time. The media hyped this claim in an attempt to damage President Trump's campaign.
“There were no secrets in that White House related to what the president said or thought.”
“He certainly likes a dictator's approach to government,” Kelly said.
But Nick Ayers says Kelly's accusations are false.
“While I have avoided commenting on leaks, rumors, and even lies within the staff since I was in the White House, General Kelly's comments about President Trump are too egregious to ignore.” I wrote Mr. Ayers on social media. “I've been with each of them more than the others, but his comment is *obviously false*.”
Ayers appeared on Fox News and directly addressed the accusations.
“I'm responding to a general who made a terrible, made-up statement that is simply not true,” Ayers said. “If it were true, obviously the American people knew about it before it happened. Deaf,” he said. “You all know how the White House was reported. There were no secrets in the White House related to what the president was saying or thinking.”
He went on to identify Kelly as a member of the “military-industrial complex.” segment.
Mr. Kelly's accusations were taken up by Vice President Kamala Harris, who named Mr. Kelly in a short speech Wednesday.
“Donald Trump said that because he doesn't want a military that's loyal to the Constitution of the United States. He wants a military that's loyal to him,” Harris said.
The Trump campaign slammed Harris.
“Kamala Harris is a huge loser, upset, and increasingly desperate as her campaign is in disarray. That's why she continues to spread blatant lies and falsehoods that are easily disproved. ,” the statement reads.
“The fact is that Kamala's dangerous statements were the direct cause of multiple assassination attempts against President Trump, and she continues to fan the flames of violence, all in the name of politics,” the statement continued. Ta. “She is despicable and her grotesque behavior proves that she is completely unfit for public office.”
Kelly, who resigned from the Trump administration in 2019, Previously He called President Trump “dishonest,” “pathetic,” and “the most flawed person” he has ever met in his life.
