Former President Jimmy Carter, 100, casts early vote for Kamala Harris in Georgia

Former President Jimmy Carter fulfilled his rumored desire to live long enough to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris, according to the Carter Center.

The 39th president filled out a mail-in ballot Wednesday at the Sumter County courthouse in Americus, near Carter's hometown of Plains, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

“I think he feels good,” Chip Carter told the magazine. “It was a good morning for him, and it was good for us that he got it done.”

Jimmy Carter became the first former US president in history to turn 100 years old earlier this month. He is currently receiving hospice care.
