The Israel Defense Forces said the hostages were rescued during a “complex” operation in two locations in Nuseira, central Gaza.
The rescued hostages are the first to be held since two were freed in a February attack.
Meanwhile, Israel says another 130 hostages remain in Gaza, but a lack of information about their captivity means it may remain a mystery whether they are alive or not.

A video was broadcast of Arugamani embracing his father after the reunion. Israel News 12.
Arugamani’s mother was battling brain cancer and prayed to see her daughter again.
Additionally, Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by phone with Al-Ghamani after the rescue operation.
She and the three other former hostages are in good health and are being treated at Tel Hashomer hospital in central Israel, Haaretz reported.
“On behalf of the Israeli people, I thank the IDF, the Israel Police and the IDF for their incredible and daring rescue operation and hope for the swift return of all abducted victims to their families. Israel lives!,” Herzog said in a post on X on Saturday.
Following the brutal Oct. 7 terrorist attacks, graphic footage was widely circulated of Al-Ghamani being dragged into Gaza by Hamas terrorists.Number The attack killed 1,200 Israelis.
The rescue was the largest single rescue of hostages held by Hamas, bringing the total number of hostages rescued to seven.
