Actor David Schwimmer, TV star friendurged Jewish celebrities to end their silence and stand up against anti-Semitism.
Appears at the Antiformation League's annual Never Is Now Now Antithesis Emitism Conference on Tuesday at Schwimmer I was urged Jewish celebrities who end the “slack” thing that many adopt in their heritage; Hollywood Reporter I wrote it.
“The many people I admire, even some of the entertainment, music and sports heroes, have chosen to maintain their profile and have this sit down,” he said. “A lot of people have chosen not to say anything publicly, and if I can say something directly to them: I really hope you do that.”

The actor went on to say: “I hope you get up, because your voice means so much to fans who love you, to community members who need you, to people who can use a little solidarity right now.”
Recently starring Schwimmer Goosebumps: Disappearedfame reminded me that there will be a “responsibility” to raise awareness during “times of danger, prejudice, and violence,” but he noted the risks that could come with the activity.
Celebrities admitted that “talking is often a sacrifice,” and said, “Like many others, I am attacked and threatened by people I have never met. I have been abandoned by people I thought were friends and organizations I thought were allies, but I have also found a surprising moment of meaning and solidarity.”
Schwimmer too reference Holocaust Survivor Ellie Wiesel's famous quote: “The opposite of love is not hatred, it is indifference,” the TV veteran asked: “What is indifference? It's inaction. It's silence. Sometimes in moments of danger, our only option can be felt is to spend quietly, to avoid attracting attention to ourselves and to feel hidden.”
“But here is the truth. Now is not the time to disappear. It is time to show up, reach out, connect with each other, find strength in the community, and speak up together. Why not?” Schwimmer insisted.
