New President Appointed at G3 Department
Dr. Scott Anniol has been named the new president of the G3 Department, a reformed Baptist organization, following Josh Buice’s exit earlier this year.
“The G3 exists to glorify God by educating, encouraging, and equipping His people with biblical truth for a faithful life. I am firmly committed to upholding our mission while engaging thoughtfully in discussions where faithful individuals may have differing views,” Anniol stated.
“I hope that G3 will continue to be a trustworthy resource for pastors and churches, and provide a platform to elevate the voices of everyday people striving faithfully in their ministries.”
Buice, the founder of G3, had previously served in this role but was removed from his position at the Mills Baptist Church of Prayer in May, after accusations surfaced that he had used anonymous social media accounts to slander fellow pastors and church elders.
Aniol holds a Master’s degree in Theological Studies from Grace Bible Seminary, a PhD from Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Master’s in Music in Aesthetics from Northern Illinois University.
With over 20 years of experience, he has previously worked as an elder at Pray Mills Baptist and has served as Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of G3 Ministries since 2021.
As per Church Leaders, G3 believes that Aniol has significantly boosted the organization’s impact, helping to expand the G3 Church Network to over 200 churches. He is also an author, with works including “Bible Fundamentals of Corporate Worship” and “Citizens and Exiles: Christian Faithfulness in the Two Kingdoms of God.” He is married to Becky and father to four children.
The board of directors recently announced his appointment, expressing their appreciation for his leadership.
“I’m pleased to announce Scott Anniol as President. This recognition is overdue, given his outstanding leadership and stewardship over the past four years. I look forward to him fully embracing this leadership role and continuing to advance the mission of G3,” stated a member of the G3 ministry board.
G3 Operations Director Laramie Minga remarked about Aniol:
“I’ve had the privilege to work under Scott Anniol’s leadership for the last three years. His honesty, theological clarity, and commitment to the local church and the G3 mission are unwavering. I am confident that G3 will prosper under his guidance and remain a reliable resource for churches and pastors,” Minga said.
Joel Beeké, Prime Minister of Puritan Reformed Seminary and a frequent G3 speaker, praised Aniol for his leadership and commitment to promoting a biblically conservative Reformed faith. He noted that Aniol continues to guide G3 in ways that honor God and glorify salvation.
