The bill comes as the Department of Justice (DOJ), led by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, is suing the Virginia State Board of Elections for excluding foreign nationals from voter rolls as the next presidential election approaches. have important meaning.
Virginia state election officials removed more than 6,300 foreign nationals from the voter rolls from January 2022 to July of this year.
The Justice Department's lawsuit alleges that Virginia election officials violated the National Voter Registration Act of 1993. Gaetz slammed the lawsuit in a statement to Breitbart News.
“Last week, the Biden-Harris Department of Justice turned its fire on Virginia Governor Youngkin, suing him to stop him from removing illegal aliens from Virginia's voter rolls,” Gates said.
