A Georgia man was arrested in Florida after he allegedly punched his girlfriend and then beat to death a man who tried to intervene in the argument.

Jordan Talley, 27, is charged with manslaughter and domestic violence in the March 31 incident in downtown Orlando, according to arrest records.

According to Orange County police, Talley was caught on video punching a woman outside a law office near the intersection of Robinson and Magnolia streets around 1:40 a.m. Talley allegedly pulled the woman’s hair and forcefully threw her to the ground, according to Fox 35.

Donald Storley, 64, was walking nearby with his wife, daughter and her fiance when they heard a woman screaming for help. Storley’s family told officers that Storley walked toward the woman and approached the couple, at which point Talley punched him.

According to Fox 35, Story died on April 23 after being taken off life support.

Surveillance footage showed Talley and his girlfriend getting into a vehicle, which led detectives to Talley’s Georgia home, where he was taken into custody by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Talley admitted to detectives that he hit Storey and claimed he was concerned about his girlfriend’s safety.
