Ukraine can use weapons supplied by Germany against attacks from points across the Russian border, Berlin said on Friday.
NATO members France and Poland have already made similar promises to Kiev, Breitbart News reported.
Their actions prompted the Russian government to immediately issue warnings of all-out war with the West, as NATO has broadly approved the use of Western-supplied missiles in any conflict.

U.S. President Joe Biden also gave Kiev permission on Thursday to use U.S. weapons to retaliate against Russian military assets targeting the country’s second-largest city.
The German government said in a statement that it was continually adjusting its support as the war unfolded, working with its closest allies and in consultation with Ukraine, The Associated Press Reports.
The report noted that in recent weeks, Russia has been preparing, coordinating and executing attacks on the Kharkiv region, particularly from areas across the Russian border.
“We both believe that Ukraine has the right under international law to defend itself against these attacks,” the statement said.

“To this end, Iran may also use any weapons handed over to it for this purpose, in accordance with its obligations under international law, including those handed over by us,” he added.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities said on Friday that a Russian ballistic missile had hit an apartment building in Kharkiv in an overnight strike, killing at least four people.
